Matt Ponting
Matt Ponting of Doodling Around, is a community artist, illustrator and conservationist. He designs colourful illustrations which unite and engage communities, with a focus on green urban spaces.
For Basildon, Matt has created his ‘Beacon Nature Trails’ in Gloucester Park - a series of 4 community-co-created walks around Gloucester Park which will be signposted by colourful way markers, and an installation at the beacon. The project will involve art workshops with local community groups, and have a lasting legacy with a map, and activity pack for local teachers and groups.
